This section of the website is set up as a series of blogs. I kept a different blog for each phase of my work.
I just wanted you to know in advance, so you're not totally confused. DF

So you want to be a truck driver?
August 07, 2009: I have ceased posting truck-related entries into my blog, and now use it for day-to-day entries, thoughts, rants, etc. What you see on these pages is pretty much the sum total of my trucking-related entries.
June 01, 2008: I have decided to leave all Beneto references on the pages up until the time the name change became official. Everything I posted after October of 2006 references the new company. Most new stuff will be posted to my Blog. Be warned, there is no foul language or obscene comments. Depressing let-down for a truck driver's blog, eh?
Sept 25, 2007: NOTE Beneto has passed into the history of trucking. When Kenan Advantage Group purchased the company from Steve Beneto, they agreed to pay for the company name for a couple of years. In October of 2006, the time had come to transition to the new company name. As I update the site, I will change all references over to the new name.
Feb 07, 2006: I can't believe how fast time has flown by. I need to sit down and write up everything that has happened since I went to work for Beneto.
UPDATE: On December 28, 2005, I will be changing companies and truck types. I am going to work for a bulk fuel delivery company. I'm going to start driving tank trucks. Should be interesting.
This originally started out as my semi-daily journal of my experiences. Unfortunately, time has a way of slipping by while you are not looking. I am revamping the site into a general area for my thoughts and experiences.
Once upon a time...back in 1989, I decided that I wanted to be a "trucker."
So, I enrolled in a school located in San Diego and completed three weeks of training. I graduated from the Federal Truck Driving School. Of course, at the age of 20, I wasn't able to run out of state. After a couple of local jobs, I gave it up and went back to the real world of being a young single guy in Southern California...I worked and forgot about being a "trucker."
Fast forward to 2002. I now live in Arizona, am married and have two children. I find myself in need of employment again. I am always seeing ads in the newspaper looking for drivers, so I brushed off that old desire and started looking around. I was surprised that I still felt the urge to drive over the road.
This website contains my experiences and encounters along the road of my new career.
Please let me know what you think!
